Pat Nymberg

Education: BA in Education from the College of Mount St. Joseph

Experience with children: Pat taught Physical Education and Health for 16 years at Ursuline Academy, Walnut Hills and the Cincinnati Academy of Physical Education. She also has 20 years coaching experience in sports including basketball, soccer, swimming, and softball.

Family: Pat is married with four sons.

Julie M. Abeling

Education: Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Northern Kentucky University; Bachelor in Science-Elementary Education from Northern Kentucky University

Experience with children: Mother of 3; I have been teaching at St. Pius X Elementary since 2000; GOTR Coach; and I was a Day Care Director for 7 years

Family: Julie has been married for 23 years and have 3 great children!

Lisa Asher

Education: BS in Health and Physical Education with a minor in Coaching from Wilmington College in 2014.

Experience with children: Lisa is a Physical Education teacher at Elda Elementary School in the Ross school district. She also has experience in coaching swimming and archery.

Family: Lisa is married.  She also has three brothers, and one sister and grew up grew up on a farm. Lisa has a dog named Patsy!

Scott Day

Education: BA in middle childhood education from the College of Mount Saint Joseph in 2009.

Experience with children: Scott has worked at various summer camps in the Cincinnati area since 2005. He has been teaching science and math at St. Thomas More Elementary School since 2009.

Family: Scott got married in 2012 and has two dogs. He also grew up as the third of five children in a family of seven.

Ken Fisher

Education: Bachelors degree from the University of Toledo in K-12 Physical education. Masters in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College Detroit Michigan.

Experience with children: Ken has been teaching elementary Physical Education for over 25 years at Coldwater Elementary, Ohio. He also has coached basketball at all grade levels (7-12)for close to 30 year as well as softball for eight. Ken was also involved in the Boys and Girls Club when he was younger.

Family: Ken is married to Donna, who is a Intervention Specialist in the High School.  They have 4 children.

Stephanie Franer

Education: Bachelors in English from The Ohio State University in 2016, Masters in Education from The Ohio State University in 2017.

Experience with children: Stephanie has been teaching 7th grade for 3 years at Our Lady of Victory School in Delhi.  She also worked at Camp Joy in Clarksville, Ohio for 6 years as a ropes technician, counselor, resource staff, and coordinator.  Stephanie spent 3 years working at the Ohio State University Childcare Program as a teaching aide during her years in school.  Stephanie's experiences have allowed her to work with ages 6 months thru 19 years. 

Family: Stephanie comes from a family of 4, five if you include Newton, their Border Collie.


Courtney Heflin

Education:  Graduate of Archbishop Alter High School.  Assistant Athletic Director at Alter

Experience with children:  Courtney has worked with kids at different camps since he was 14 years old and has over 10 years experience working with Laffalot.  Courtney is also the Director of Basketball Operations for the Alter Lady Knights basketball teams/camps.

Family:  Courtney is the youngest of 5 siblings.

Becca Jones

Education: 2015 graduate of University Dayton with a BS in Education and Health Sciences specializing as an Intervention Specialist.

Experience with children: Intervention Specialist for Crawford Woods Ele. in Hamilton School District. Director of Mentors for For the Love of Children. Home tutor for a 17 year old boy with a Traumatic Brain Injury.

Family: Youngest of three children.

Lori Kaiser

Education: Bachelors Degree in Health, Physical Education and athletic Training from Wright State University in 2006

Experience with children: Lori has been teaching for over 10 years. Her career started at Covington Elementary School in Covington, Ohio. She is currently teaching elementary Physical Education at St. Henry Elementary School. Prior to teaching, she worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer with Community Sports and Therapy where she was placed with athletes at Marion Local High School.

Family: Lori is married to Chad and has 3 daughters.

Natalie Miller

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education Teacher Education from Bowling Green State University.  Graduated Magna Cum Laude;  Associates Degree in Exercise Science, Graduated Summa Cum Laude

Experience with children: Natalie teaches Physical Education at St. Patrick Heatherdown in Toledo, Ohio.  She has also been an Assistant coach in gymnastics for ages 5-12 for several years.

Family: Natalie is getting married in July 2020.  She is an aunt to 5 beautiful nieces and 3 awesome nephews.  Proud owner of an awesome dog, Peri.

Alycia Niemeyer

Education:  Early Childhood Education degree from Bowling Green State University in 2002:  Masters Degree in 2004.

Experience with children:  Alycia has been teaching for over 17 years.  Her career started in Wapakoneta where she taught kindergarten.  Since then she has been teaching New Bremen for over 16 years, currently teaching Title 1 Reading in grades K-3.

Family:  Alycia is married to Matt, has 3 children, and a dog named Weimaraner.

Holly Peeples

Education:  Bachelors Degree in Physical Education from Ohio University, minor in Health from Capital and a Masters in Coaching from Ohio University.

Experience with children:  Holly has been teaching for Piqua City Schools for 13 years.  She started as a high school health teacher and moved to the elementary school where she has been teaching Physical Education for 9 years.

Family:  Holly is married to Shawn and has 3 children, 2 boys and a girl.  They live in Bradford, Ohio

Jill Ranly

Education:  Jill has ben an ACE-Certified Personal Trainer since 1992 with specialty certifications in Fitness & Nutrition, Functional Training and Orthopedic Exercise.

Experience with Children:  Jill has been a classroom aide for over 15 years. She spent many years working for the Mercer County Education Service Center, as well as for Jay County Schools, as a classroom aide for students with disabilities.  Jill has spent 3 years as a preschool aide at Fort Recovery Elementary School and is presently a middle school classroom aide.  She has been a certified personal trainer for over 25 years and a certified health coach for 10 years.  Jill also has over 10 years coaching experience and is currently Head Varsity Gymnastics Coach at Jay County High School.

Family:  Jill has been married for 24 years and has 3 children.


Carrie Rieth

Education:  Masters Degree in School Counseling from Xavier University in 2018, Bachelors Degree in History from XU in 2016

Experience with  children:  Carrie has been a School Counselor at Mercy McAuley High School for the past two year.  She has worked for Laffalot since 2016, starting as a counselor and then becoming a director in 2017 and Directo of Counselors in 2018.

Family:  Carrie is recently married to Nate Rieth, and they have a puppy.  Carrie has one brother, and is an aunt to two nieces.

Nate Rieth

Education:  Nate Studied Urban Design at OSU before switching to a degree in education at Northern Kentucky University.

Experience with children:  Nate has worked with Laffalot for over 10 years and is currently the Director of Counselors.  Nate began working with children in high school by doing volunteer work and working every summer as a camp counselor.

Family:  Nate is married to Carrie Rieth.  He also has 2 younger siblings.

Mindy Siefring

Education: BA in Physical Education and Health from Bowling Green University. Masters degree from Nova Southeastern University

Experience with children: Mindy has been teaching for 30 years. In the 1990’s she was with Immaculate Conception School in Celina, and since then has been with St. Henry Schools.

Family: Mindy has a husband, Doug, and has 3 children.

Kelly Smith

Education:  Bachelors Degree in Education from Wright State University

Experience with children:  Kelly has been teaching for over 15 years.  She spent her first 13 years at Franklin Monroe, but is currently teaching preschool at Ansonia Local Schools.  Kelly also coached Jr. High volleyball at Versailles for 10 years as well being the advisor for 4-H for 15 years.

Family:  Kelly and her husband live in Versailles with their four children.

Nicole Unger

Education: BA in Psychology and Spanish from The University of Toledo. MEd in School Counseling from Boston University.

Experience with children: Nicole has been working as a school counselor since 2009. She has over 10 years of experience coaching boys and girls volleyball to various age groups. Nicole has been running Laffalot camps in the Toledo area since 2010.

Family: Nicole is married and lives in Luckey, OH with her husband and 3 children.
